Abstrak

Professional training providers need evidence that a favorable participant experience can support the application of learning at work. This convergent mixed methods study examines 245 post-training questionnaire responses collected from June 2024 through August 2026. The research was based at the office of Quantum HRM Internasional in Surabaya, Indonesia. Ten five-point items assessed content, trainer, and organizer service quality; four open-ended prompts captured participants’ accounts. Quantitative descriptive statistics and internal-consistency estimates were merged with a transparent, keyword-assisted qualitative content analysis. Mean scores were 4.48 for content quality, 4.62 for trainer quality, and 4.68 for organizer service quality. Delivery attractiveness was the lowest-rated item (M = 4.30). Among 196 substantive improvement responses, 60 mentioned timing or duration and 58 mentioned practice, exercises, or cases; these categories overlap. The integrated findings point to a strategic opportunity to improve practice time and program pacing while sustaining high trainer and service standards. The dataset contains neither a distinct measure of overall training satisfaction nor a post-training measure of workplace application. Therefore, the proposed satisfaction-mediated pathway is a conceptual extension and cannot be estimated from these data. A two-wave extension is specified to test the pathway while retaining concurrent quantitative and qualitative integration. The study contributes an auditable baseline for service improvement and a feasible empirical design for future research on training value in consulting services.
