Abstrak

This study analyzes the role of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in improving human resource process efficiency and supporting organizational performance at PT XYZ. Because internal operational data from the company were not provided, the study uses a structured literature review and case-oriented analytical synthesis, with PT XYZ positioned as an anonymous implementation context rather than a source of primary data. A total of 24 scientific articles published between 2021 and 2025 were analyzed to identify HRIS value mechanisms, enabling factors, implementation risks, and relevant evaluation indicators. The synthesis shows that HRIS most consistently creates value through data integration, transaction automation, employee/manager self-service, improved HR service quality, and the use of analytics for decision-making. However, these benefits are not automatic; data quality, user acceptance, HR capability maturity, process alignment, and access governance determine whether digitalization generates efficiency or merely transfers inefficiencies into a new system. This study proposes an HRIS value model linking system capabilities, HR process efficiency, service and decision quality, and organizational performance, accompanied by evaluation indicators for PT XYZ. Its contribution lies in integrating operational and strategic perspectives within a single implementation framework that can support post-implementation measurement of HRIS benefits.
